What I find very telling and I hope this is the take-away for many, is that this man KNEW that this was merely an experiment. This Mr. Mancow knew that he could at any time wave his little hand and call it quits when he found the experiment to push his personal limits of comfort. And even knowing that he could call it off at any time of his choosing, he still found this to be torture. So, imagine what this is like for detainees, both foreign and American. Detainees who don't have the pleasure of telling their captor when to quit. Detainees who don't know if the water rushing down their throats is ever going to stop. Imagine if that were your brother or sister, Mother or Father, Grandmother or Grandfather. Would you wish that upon them?
