Lenny Dykstra: "I'm Not Bankrupt" (VIDEO)

A lot of negativity here and I'll be the first to admit that I have no idea what kind of person Lenny is today. However, I can tell you that in 1987 during spring training for the NY Mets, he did rent a house two doors down from the one I grew up in. As a kid and a little leaguer, it was so exciting to know that a Major League star was just down the street. So I knocked on his door one evening and when he opened the door I asked if he could sign a baseball for me. He asked me what my name was and if I knew how to work a VCR. I said: "Of course I do" and so he invited me in and I got his VCR working. From that moment on, we were pals. During the course of the spring training season, he was very gracious and made it a point to play catch with those of us who also played baseball and invited us to all of his games. He and his family were very kind and down to earth. I wish he and his family well.

'United Breaks Guitars': Passenger Strikes Back With Song (VIDEO)

I'm about to compose the "American Airlines" rendition since they changed my itinerary and charged the applicable Brussels Airport taxes to my credit card without my permission. What's worse is that when I questioned the charge, they told me that they spoke to me and I gave them permission, which was obviously a blatant lie.

Mancow Waterboarded (VIDEO): Conservative Radio Host Say It's Torture

What I find very telling and I hope this is the take-away for many, is that this man KNEW that this was merely an experiment. This Mr. Mancow knew that he could at any time wave his little hand and call it quits when he found the experiment to push his personal limits of comfort. And even knowing that he could call it off at any time of his choosing, he still found this to be torture. So, imagine what this is like for detainees, both foreign and American. Detainees who don't have the pleasure of telling their captor when to quit. Detainees who don't know if the water rushing down their throats is ever going to stop. Imagine if that were your brother or sister, Mother or Father, Grandmother or Grandfather. Would you wish that upon them?
